Chronicle concert Arcade Fire in Barcelona 21/11 / 2010

Date: Sunday, November 21, 2010. Place: Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona. Attendance: 12,000 spectators (in a capacity of 18,000). Admission: 39 euros.

The night did not look very good, actually. With Palau Sant Jordi soulless little over half full camouflage with a curtain that covered the entire bottom of the vacuum enclosure, and with an audience of diverse cultures within the gafapatismo and modernism, I thought that perhaps the bias could ruin a concert that had long hoped to fruition. To make matters worse the concert began with a horrible sound, in which multiple instruments are confused identifiable in a little buzz.

If the sound is initially not accompanied neither did the songs from his new album "The Suburbs , which did not look too live all is said, exceptions that LUEV comment. "The Suburbs is a great album, a masterpiece as a whole, but is lacking in this case hits and the classics of" funeral l "and" Neon Bible "won by a landslide, and second half of the concert was proof. 8 songs from "The Suburbs " fell into the setlist, and 7 of the "Funeral " and only 3 of the " Neon Bible."

View these guys with the passion of, and as exchanged in their positions and instruments including the songs is something that we are not accustomed. The first half of the concert ended up not starting at all, while the band gave it all on stage. Pleasantly surprised by the degree of sympathy and great improvement as frontman Win Butler, but also made a discreet background to his wife Régine Chassagne only had his moment of glory with Haiti and Sprawl II .

ruling Al and sound familiar, it contributed to a slow start setlist choice of all the shrapnel left the end of the concert. New Ready To Start (bad milk lacks direct), Sprawl II , Modern Man, Rococo and The Suburbs (perhaps the weakest of all) did not finish to exploit its enormous potential live. Intercarcaladas including only No Cars Go put the excitement and respectable and Haiti Laika set the tone more happy and dance of the night.

But as if by magic, suddenly everything exploded. Coupled with an apparent improvement (not complete) sound, a beautiful and huge end Crown Of Love changed the future of the concert, and from temazo temazo hence driving up exponentially after the euphoric atmosphere of Sant Jordi. Intervention over light the fuse and the 2 new We Used To Wait (spectacular) and Month Of May showed that there are songs in "The Suburbs " live and work that way! And before the final encore was glorious, with the Sant Jordi turned upside down with Power Out , Rebellion (Lies) , Month Of May (Live surprising his paw) and followed Tunnels. What else to ask.

The encore continued with the apotheosis, pity they were so short, only 2 songs. Keep The Car Running a cut version with explanations which have appreciated a fade-out and the great song Wake Up coreable closed the night on top and the audience ecstatic. Mission accomplished and overwhelming success of Arcade Fire , although there were some shadows. And that is just 1 ½ hour concert due to its excellent discography and sounds like a little B-sides. Also make the final leap to large pavilions necessarily improve the sound, as if Barcelona was not isolated on this tour. But the level of overall satisfaction was high, in view of upcoming tours will be at the level of the big band world, I swear.

Sharp Pain In Arm When Push

DISC REVIEW: Kings Of Leon - Come Around Sundown (2010)

Kings Of Leon get off the crest of the wave of their own volition. After his last album "Only By The Night " (2008) that made them stick a huge leap (sold 6 million copies around the world, a spectacular figure today!) and placed on top, have now agreed with this "Come Around Sundown" (2010) relax with a long drive worked more, much more soul , gospel and epic, more mature and calm, with more consistency, but without any single or any catchy hit clear. For many will consider the latter as an album worse or boring, but in this case is quite the opposite.

With a career behind and important (this is his 5th studio album), Kings Of Leon fortunately slowly are leaving behind his wild style, histrionic, and even hysterical at times, to build a style much calmer, more adult, his pop / rock with southern winds and soul (100% American) combined with the garage and grunge begins to acquire a unique personal style. Many are beginning to compare them with U2 or Pearl Jam , with the latter do see that the comparison is more accurate if we consider that the most calm of this " Sundown Come Around" and earlier " Only By The Night "saved perhaps too similar to the mythical Seattle band, not to mention that the voice of singer Caleb Followill is becoming more similar (in some cases grate obsession) than Eddie Vedder on the most sense. And the voice of Caleb Followill is perhaps the most controversial is up around this great group, and that leaves no one indifferent, for my taste win many integers when Caleb stop screaming nonsense and puts more feeling, despite the already mentioned resemblance to Eddie Vedder.

Although not entirely my cup of tea Kings Of Leon are a great band, and the improvement they have had with their last 3 albums have been more than noticeable. Is a band with a rhythm section impressive battery and above its low for me are its main asset may say also joined by a very good guitarist. This " Sundown Come Around" has been the definitive consolidation, while not full of hits like "Only By The Night " does have a continuity and depth, and as I have said repeatedly a remarkable maturity. Let

the themes of this "Come Around Sundown"

1. The End: paradoxically by its title and style might seem an issue to close the record and not to open it, but it is an excellent choice. Theme rather quiet, very soul and feeling, shows his maturity as a band. Excellent distorted guitars and ambient light touch.
2. Radioctive: the single presentation of the disc, but hit has almost nothing. To understand is not a hit as there were in "Only By The Night " but a good topic, the most movidito and more grip on the disc, but without excess. Excellent work of the rhythm section (drums and bass). Gospel choirs curious to hear lejamente background.
3. Pyro: fantastic for me perhaps the best of the album. Quiet and relaxed, but also emotional and epic, shows that Kings Of Leon have also learned a hacer buenas baladas. Su final desprende una enorme grandeza. Sencilla pero sensacional guitarra.
6. The Immortals: muy buen tema dream pop en que su hilo conductor is an awesome bass line very powerful and elegant (with solos included), with guitar playing shoegaze and funk even airs. The best of the album.
7. Back Down South: total change of pace with this ballad airs country and folk, which highlights the presence of violins in the whole song. Without falling into the topic of converting these songs of this style taverna simple folk songs, here is a emotion and a great soul touches throughout the song, which even has a final gospel. Fantastic.
8. Beach Side: as its title indicates, we go to the beach. With dreamy air, and again with another great and elegant bass line, poppy style of the 60 beach to the Beach Boys is present but with a seriousness and sobriety remarkable.
9. No Money: after a series of songs to other styles faced with this No Money Kings Of Leon become more genuine, this item dirtier garage house brand more powerful guitar. Cool but I see no longer a autoplagio and a nod to his fans of his times stronger or those nostalgic for their hits "Only By The Night ."
10. Pony Up: strange and curious mix of rock, soul and even funk (your battery it is complete). Fully passes unnoticed.
11. Birthday: nice mid-tempo with a melancholy air that surrounds the song, but her cheerful guitar seems to indicate quite the opposite. Pity we did not finish off at any time.
12. My Friend: melancholy theme with a country touch is present throughout the song. Frankly, and contrary to many opinions, I think is what all the hard peorcito and Caleb Followill obsessed with singing to Eddie Vedder not help much in this song.
13. Pickup Truck: Kings Of Leon have again achieved, the terminal an album best. Track Pickup is "Come Around Sundown "What is Cold Desert to" Only By The Night "the best and final emotional as possible. The recipe is the same: emotional song, epic, soul (Caleb sings with great feeling), with a excellent air guitar and a fantastic bass line. With Pyro, the best song on the album.

FINAL NOTE: 8.25.

DISC REVIEW: Interpol - Interpol (2010) Chronic

Important step back and huge disappointment. That's what comes to my head after the first listen and after repeated opportunities I've given the disc. If Interpol was one of those indie groups placed in the " pole position" to become one of the biggest bands, their 4th album it has been more than a self-tripping for progression. Because after about 3 first albums so substantial (although it can be said that each was slightly lower than before) this album titled " Interpol" (2010) is quite a black spot for your records.

all know that Interpol are not a group to use, stylish dark, gloomy, and sometimes baroque appellant to pathos, it makes them an easy group to assimilate to the first. Remain true to his dark and eighties post-punk style and rock revival, but it is easy to see that they have been very dry of ideas. Besides the feeling of autoplagio recurs throughout the album, some issues are overly burdened, in line with the latest songs from their latest album "Our Love To Admire " (2007). Many of these compositions are very poor, excessively long and boring that use in excess of pathos (the voice of singer Paul Banks still further enhance the feeling) and Summer Well, much like the worst style of Muse Always current Malaise (The Man I Am) , All Of The Ways or The Undoing especially. To get an idea, there are only 3 issues that may come or compared with the level of those containing their first 3 albums.

Being benevolent side B could only pardon the semi-epic and electronic touches Try It On, but it is no wonder.

Finally, huge disappointment and numerous criticisms of the indie release ( Pitchfork the abuser with a valuation 4'6), which added to the abandonment of the band once the album of their low air added Carlos Dengler of uncertainty to the future of the group. Fortunately their live remains at a remarkable level, I could see in Paris of the tour opening for U2 and can say that the new live tracks defended them solvent.

FINAL NOTE: 4.75.

U2 concert in Paris 18/09/2010 Bruce Springsteen

Date: Saturday, September 18, 2010. Venue: Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Paris, France). Attendance: 92,000 spectators (sold-out). Admission: 94 euros. Media

disappointment. That's the idea with which I left the Stade de France on Saturday. Having seen and 4 concerts this u2 360 º Tour last year 2009 and especially after having lived 2 huge concerts at London's Wembley Stadium 1 year ago, what we saw on Saturday in Paris was a considerable downturn. Not that it was a disastrous concert and the French public (despite his usual coldness sat throughout the concert) in general emerged happy, but the low blood level was evident and there were several things that I liked.

A controversial part of a setlist with songs that nobody knows what they paint, and others that have to be on duty but ask for a break from shouting, saw a disconcerting Bono, bent on destroying several songs singing slower usual, reciting over many of the lyrics, more concerned with hitting their squeals and gestures of complicity with the other members of the band (say, was stump too Adam Clayton and The Edge ) to sing. In addition, some of the songs were played in a lower tempo than usual (for Mysterious Ways was bleeding). The Edge was not particularly brilliant package making mistakes, as at the end of Beautiful Day, Mysterious Ways , Until The End Of The World and One . It seems that when the band put the thing on automatic pilot falls enough (by more than half the songs) but when you put the batteries (as in the case of the new North Star , Mercy , Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kill Me, Kiss Me or Moment Of Surrender ) win many whole thing, what rubs embroider and excellence, but the complacent feeling is becoming very worrying. The sound was also improved (although very strong and powerful as usual), the guitar sounded too much and ate almost entirely to low, although it caused the rock songs gain in forcefulness. Finally a shame because in this 360 ° Tour U2 seems that things were going to better than in tours Elevation Tour Vertigo Tour and , without going any further.

Let's review the setlist songs (videos taken from the web U2gigs )

0. The Return Of The Stringray Guitar (intro): new intro they've created for this leg of the tour, which based on a funny taped above the band plays while Bono is saying the name of the city while there is a mass bathroom to feed his ego messianic rock star. I liked it better than expected, forceful and fun.
1. Beautiful Day: another controversial decision on this stretch of Gira, who for the 1st time to open the concert with a theme other than the new album. The new modern classic U2 looked just as good as always and the crowd went wild. Sorry for a mistake by The Edge at the end of the song and that caused Bono did not make any snippet, solvents with a comic "The Edge is beautiful."
2. I Will Follow: spectacular version. It was a great decision on being recalled in recent concerts. This classic punk anthem of the birth of U2 sounded very convincing and rocked around the Stade de France, showing that to put a stadium on its head does not need to resort to mediocre issues such as Elevation.

3. Get Your Boots On: very lie still, sounded a lot weaker than last year and that half a song Bono reciting pass did not help much.
4. Magnificent: pity that this excellent track and could not be live on an error in his approach to live when choosing a tempo too low, even lower than last year. Yet the audience chanted en masse, much faster than Bono certainly determined to enter that followed later. Nevertheless, I love this song.
5. Mysterious Ways: disastrous, a shadow of its former self. A version with a very slow and almost enclosures Bono again. People were more aware of good animations on screens with the dancer's hands caressing the band members. So that the end of the topic saved by avoiding the ridiculous but as in all this tour's played without the guitar solo long last. About Total.
6. Elevation: guitar sounded very convincing and as usual, but that does not mean it is a very good Light but to upset the Stade de France. Bono clicking fun to see a balloon with a microphone and doing little voices to pop it.
7. Until The End Of The World: hypnosis of guitar distortion and returned to work within fascinating live U2 Recondo how big they have become. It was not his best version, Bono again recited most of the issue, The Edge made a significant decision and the impasse that make to half of the subject does not help much, but luckily the end of the song was glorious entertained with his usual show of Bono and The Edge on bridges.

8. I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For: hurt me to see how the loaded almost turning into a massive karaoke Bono sang only half the song. Still in this 360 ° Tour this issue has regained its lost dignity about the very slow version of the Vertigo Tour, mostly instrumental sound. Was preceded by an entertaining presentation of Bono of the band members in French, naming Louis as The Edge Pasteur's rock 'n' roll.
9. North Star: one of the new songs (discard the recording sessions of No Line On The Horizon) that are playing live and debuting. This ballad a bit sappy and quite flojilla all may say, did not sound bad at all with Bono and The Edge solo performer, showing that when issues are taken seriously the performances improve exponentially.

10. Mercy: the best of the concert, no doubt. Another "new" product of the recording sessions of "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" (2004) although we already knew Mercy a studio version. Her live version is doctored, you have 2 minutes less in length and contains changes in his handwriting. It sounded really great, in a magnificent performance which showed that this is one of their best songs in years, shame that the public does not know. Again, the implication of the band was maximum and it showed positive. A pleasure to see you live finally.

11. In A Little While: after the rush of Mercy absolute slump with In A Little While, in a dull and slow version. Completely dispensable, their presence in the setlist as set is totally inexplicable because it is one of their best songs but rather the opposite. Bono pulled a girl from the audience to dance with him and the screen appeared the members of the International Space Station.
12. Miss Sarajevo: as In A Little While, entirely expendable, causing more dull and boring section of the concert. Version poor, much worse than the versions of the Vertigo Tour. The piece that emulates operatic Pavarotti Bono has become a parody, an imitation that is limited to shouting and imitating the voice of the great tenor.

13. City Of Blinding Lights: good version, which this tour has become more forceful and especially visually, since it is the song that best exploits the potential of "The Claw" (the spectacular scenery in a "claw"). Spectacular.
14. Vertigo: a shame to throw overboard Bono version especially powerful and totally wild reciting the theme and removing any passion. Another topic like City Of Blinding Lights has won forcefulness on the Vertigo Tour, the tour that saw them debut.
15. I'll Go Crazy If I Do not Go Crazy Tonight remix: new downturn, a topic that had become funny, length and pace was leaden and again the interpretation of Bond was much to blame. Final fate of the powerful and the snippets of Two Tribes and Relax and one of the most contentious of I Gotta Feeling.

16. Sunday Bloody Sunday: contrary to expectations, and seeing as were the paths, Sunday Bloody Sunday was the best of the night. Was among the few classics that gave itself the length and perhaps helped the public to deliver the maximum. After a break for the public to do the karaoke with the snippet "Get Up, Stand Up", the end of the song with Bono efforts and letting the vocal cords was worth well worth it.
17. MLK: disappointment, because we all expected them to play Mothers Of The Disappeared, as had happened in recent concerts.
18. Walk On: positive surprise, as it sounded better than last year that did not quite jell. Pretty good version and end of subject.
19. One: opened the encore. Scratch passing Justito version would have been much better if there were no wrong The Edge distortion from his guitar that sounded much more distorted and more delay than usual.
20. Where The Streets Have No Name: after initial snippet precious Amazing Grace that serves great transition, the classic was showcased alone. It is without doubt U2's classic while most resilient and looks better live, as always spectacular. It was cast in races lack the Edge and Bono on stage, although the latter is no longer for these things lately.
21. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me: opened the second set of encores. Exceeded the initial anger had replaced the great and irreplaceable Ultra Violet (Light My Way), this issue was the soundtrack of the film Batman Forever made us go back to the time of PopMart Tour, but did not ring with claw and power 13 years ago. Its distortion, its air garajero and pimping are the potential for this issue. The micro flying and luces dió mucho juego con Bono haciendo el mono balancéandose sobre él para disipar dudas sobre su espalda operada recientemente.

Tras el esperpento de With Or Without You se marcaron una gran Moment Of Surrender version to complete the concert, much better than the 4 that I could see past 2009, with any substantial changes as eliminating the "oh, oh" from the beginning and make a new verse at the end with Bono rapeándola. To highlight the great work of The Edge on this issue in piano, guitar and vocals. Bonita, with feeling, beautiful way to end the concert.

Here you will find over 2 CD's of a total of 21 songs unpublished so far (at least in its studio version), recorded in studio during the recording sessions of " Darkness On The Edge Of Town " between 1977 and 1978. These 21 songs have been chosen by Springsteen corosamente among the nearly 70 songs or demos that were recorded during the 2 years of sessions, and have again been remixed by Bob Clearmountain .
None of the 21 songs had been published in the special case of 4 CDs released in 1998 " Tracks " but if we can say that The Promise was finally included in the trimmed version " 18 Tracks " and Rendezvous if it was included in the box Tracks "but it was a live version. But some of them are not entirely new for the fans, since several of these songs are live and blockbuster films Because The Night or Fire (but had not indicated one officially released studio version) and many ever have been played live and collectors know them by various ' bootlegs' pirates. A total of 21 songs, 6 of them are totally unprecedented, never anyone else outside the vicinity of the band had the honor of listening. DVD N º 1: "THE PROMISE: THE 'MAKING OF' THE DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN ":
One of the jewels in the crown. As in the case of "Born To Run " Tom Zimny \u200b\u200b directs this 90-minute documentary with previously unseen footage of the recording sessions of " Darkness On The Edge Of Town " between 1976 and 1978, apart interviews with Bruce Springsteen himself, members of the E Street Band, his manager Jon Landau and other characters del entorno de la banda y del artista. Un " Making Of " en toda regla que igual como sucedió en su versión del " Born To Run " nos dejará a bien seguro bocaabiertos.
He aquí su clip promocional de presentación publicado por Columbia Records :

DVD Nº2: DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN EN DIRECTO Y ARCHIVOS DE THRILL HILL:

En la primera parte podremos ver una grabación en HD realizada en 2009 en el Paramount Theater de Asbury Park en que Bruce Springsteen y la E Street Band interpretan en directo el " Darkness On The Edge Of Town "to complete a fully intimate version, without an audience.
The second part contains a collection of live songs and home tests in the study of New York that were part of Thrill video archive Hill, the company of Bruce Springsteen. These include a live version of Something In The Night in 1976 (one of his first releases during the tour of Born To Run) and 5 songs in concert in 1978 Phoenix , which was used to record live video clip of Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) containing "The Complete Video Anthology ."

New Arcade Fire album in August and announced on Tour

In a short while, the August 2 goes on sale " The Suburbs," the highly anticipated 3 rd album from Canadian band Arcade Fire , another of the bands most likely to win the coveted title of " the next big thing." After razing in the indie scene with their first 2 albums, " Funeral" (2004) and "Neon Bible " (2007), and create anthems as Tunnels, Power Out , Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies) , Keep The Car Running , Intervention or No Cars Go , it appears that this 3 rd album will follow the line of the above, with its indie how well has combined folk, rock and pop, all passed through his unique style and use of instruments not very common in this type of music (xylophones, gongs and even church organs!). On very rare that they can apparently do not be no doubt that in a matter of years will be able to fill stadiums, for sure.

But the arrival of new disc is not the only good news. Arcade Fire also announced World Tour, which will pass by Earth in November, the November 20 at the Palacio de los Deportes de Madrid and November 21 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona . Attention because the Tickets go on sale this week, on Wednesday, July 14 at 10:00 through Ticketmaster Servicaixa and at a price of 39 euros (general admission unnumbered).

To whet your appetite, here one new issues that have been advanced " The Suburbs "

RECOMMENDATION: The All New Adventures Of Us - Best Loved Goodnight Tales (2008)

Another great discovery but not recent because This disk has 2 years old old. The septet Norhampton English called The All New Adventures Of Us (also known as TANAOU ) got in 2008 this debut album 'Best Loved Goodnight Tales ", a marvel of those who both currently scarce . Very negative surprise that a great album like this has happened so and so unnoticed in the music world, even in an area indie. Frankly inexplicable because this album gives a thousand kicks to many albums and groups who are worshiping in the indie world and of questionable quality just because of sound different or weird.

In "Best Loved Goodnight Tales " find an excellent medley of pop and folk songs, bright and cheerful with epic rock themes and more emotional and calm, great choruses and vocal harmonies, with a wealth of sounds impressive, excellent workmanship and even a string ensemble and wind. For recording the band was 1 years locked in a recording studio in northern Sweden , totally isolated and in full contact with nature and the harsh environmental conditions in the area.

The British origin of these guys are surprised because their sound is more like the American indie band especially for its folk touch, the resemblance at times with bands like Death Cab For Cutie and The Decemberists may be obvious, but leave it at that, there's a lot more. His playing epic songs is really extraordinary, and show bands massive flag made this sound like Coldplay and Muse not fill stadiums for more than their product is better, but rather the opposite. Feel bad that these guys are left without public recognition after a great album, it will be for a few enjoy with relish even with nearly 2 years late, the pity is that we have to discover your work by accident but that at bottom is bad news because sometimes those are the best discs and that most enjoy, no doubt.

Let's review the issues of this "Best Loved Goodnight Tales "

1. A Good Liar Is A Good Storyteller: after this great title is a beautiful song that starts with beautiful piano notes to finish exploding in a bright, cheerful and upbeat pop song. Great opener for an album that begins with first gay issues.
2. Firetruck (Doki Doki): another topic optimistic that all the winds have much prominence. Very folk and pop sounds to The Decemberists.
3. "Me Me Me" Said The Kite-Eating Tree, As He Took Breakfast From Little Katy extraordinary pop song, has absolutely all the ingredients you need a good pop song: happiness, beautiful, dreamy melody dream-pop, choirs humming, pegadez, some forcefulness and good guitars. The only thing missing is direct and concise title, in this case the opposite, I bet it's not a coincidence.
4. St. Crispin's Got Our Backs: continue to dream-pop territory but for the first time the epic, especially towards the end of the topic. Nice theme, very bright.
5. Forever 45 : great track somewhere between power-pop and dream-pop , was one of the singles from the album. Good vocal harmonies, very catchy, the most mainstream entire disc.
6. The Art Of The High-Five: his playing folk unthinkable non-American origin of these guys. It reminds us very positively this song to Arcade Fire. Continuing the dream-pop environment , good vocals, the joy of their tunes, but here with an epic touch a little more pronounced. Great song, best on the disc.
7. Löftets Grands / New Year Outro: total change of pace. In Löftets Grands pop and disappear completely happy to enter into a territory in a calm start, moving (helped by the violins), introspective and almost minimalist is not at all a long and pointless outpost (quite the contrary) that the issue eventually became a crescendo epic impressive, the guitars suddenly explode with a great background violins. They really are 2 tracks, as the last 2 minutes called New Year Outro is almost a side issue, which is also instrumental only pure epic with only guitar and a beautiful piano and xylophone melody. The best of album.
8. Medicine: sufficiently close to Death Cab For Cutie. Pretty epic, blunt end, good and powerful percussion, good guitar and again the wind and string ensembles reappear.
9. The Wide-Eyed Led Us Home: poppy theme relaxed, light, cheerful and calm in appearance, but with touches of power-pop towards the end they give a good rhythm and forcefulness.
10. Perfectly Imperfect: beautiful, minimalist and semi-acoustic emotive issue with the help of xylophone, singing a duet with female vocalist of the group. At the end enter the string ensemble with violin and piano to make the song sublime.
11. Hold On: epic final explosion of the album, with almost 14 minutes of issue. And begins with powerful guitars start to warn where the paths go, but suddenly go quiet for paving the way for the final big bang increcendo in the great ecstasy of the guitars and percussion that will delight lovers of post-rock and epic. After the big bang sound, a xylophone notes and a long semisilencio induced, a new issue on a basis of electronic and electro touch may remind us The Postal Service, but is only an introduction to a strong and lively final power-pop.

FINAL NOTE: 8'75.

RECORDS REVIEW / RECOMMENDATION: The National - High Violet (2010) Roger Waters

His latest album Boxer and was a fist on the table back in 2007 and makes 1 añito had a good dose of EP as we made very satisfied with the launch of The Virginia EP . This High Violet has been the confirmation that The National are one of the best bands (if not the best) of the indie scene of the moment and are in an extraordinary way, but we can say that global does not reach dimensions of roundness who arrived in the Boxer . Yet the end result is extraordinary and touches the label of masterpiece. Overcoming the

Boxer is very, very difficult, a perfect record that none of the issues weakens. In this High Violet find better topics Terrible Love, Afraid Of Everyone , Ohio Blodbuzz , England or Runaway and any other " grower " very interesting, but other than loose enough and remain fairly global and leaves the album somewhat lame as Anyone's Ghost or lesser extent and Lemonworld Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks. Is still a remarkable album, essential and quite sure that will be among the best of the year and maybe of the decade. Many have criticized that no Change remarkable sound and style, why not short but frankly I see no need to change anywhere because boxes are not at all. With a sound and style completely consolidated, own, personal, nontransferable, fully adult and impeccably perhaps have shifted more epic songs. What is not in doubt and perhaps the good news of the disc is the extraordinary work of Bryan Davendorf to the battery.

Some will qualify from boring (her melancholy solemnity and darkness of some of her influences) and weirdos (the image of current indie kings has not sat well with some), others will say that the voice of lead singer Matt Berninger is completely flat and seems to grudging in some issues, but I say to them please show me a group with the ability composition of these guys ... but we will keep waiting because they always come back with empty hands. Anyway, holy melancholy ...

rehearsing songs for this High Violet :

1. Terrible Love : spectacular and epic crescendo just bursting with powerful percussion and great vocal harmonies. Temazo to type in the album version sounds quite strange and distorted, lo-fi very .
2. Sorrow : a "grower "That base of listeners grows and grows to end up becoming one of the best tracks on the album. Mysterious and dark, the dark air at all detract from beauty.
3. Anyone's Ghost : the most Light of the album, no is a bad topic but out of tune enough with the proper level of rest. Totally flat, all the attention is for the bass and drums rhythmically.
4. Little Faith : its first few seconds make us think we are hearing Today's Lesson of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds , but it is a mirage because what follows is a beautiful and peaceful song house brand of The National, one of those big mediostiempos only they dialed. Other " grower " becomes imperative.
5. Everyone Afraid Of : the best song on the album and probably the best that The National has made throughout his career with Lucky You. Addictive, mysterious, a disturbing and creepy intro with vocal harmonies is the prelude to an issue where a good rhythm and rhythmic percussion, acoustic guitar, organ, keyboards, wind ensemble and distorted guitar makes it a marvel.
6. Ohio Blodbuzz : Another wonderful as Afraid Of Everyone , but much brighter and epic. Again, the percussion and distorted guitar gain prominence, along with effective piano melody and the help of a set of wind. The 2nd best song on the album, is very close to Afraid Of Everyone .
7. Lemonworld : it is not the best of the album, but is salvageable. Quiet, dark theme in Matt Berninger sings in that tone which some find so tedious. Serves as a hinge between the 2 outstanding issues above and the no less brilliant 3 below.
8. Runaway : quiet but epic theme, minimalist, beautiful, melnacólico, emotional, slashing the adjective undoubtedly great. When it enters its final burst of wind set is spectacular. Matt Berninger demonstrates here his voice on issues emotional given a special plus.
9. Conversation 16 : Runaway after the thing or rather encouraged by the window seems to go much more light. Another great subject on which evidence a spectacular job in battery Bryan Devendorf, and that a great conjunction of atmospheric sound of the organ, background vocal harmonies and those guitars are distorted the tone of the album make it a awesome cut.
10. England: Following the epic tone and quiet Runaway , this issue takes us mentally and evokes a journey through some notes for violin and piano, distorted guitar to later give a solemn epic tone but also with all the winds. Frankly beautiful, with a spectacular finale.
11. Crybaby Geeks Vanderlyle : sorry, but for me to end this great album with this " nana" is a mistake and more seeing that England was a perfect ending. It is not a minor matter, even the vocal work is outstanding and to acknowledge and accept that is a nice theme, but it is not my cup of tea, lastly matter of taste.

FINAL NOTE: 9'25.

Why Does My Sperm Smell Of Fish

revive in 2011 the legendary album The Wall

If you of those who think Pink Floyd is the best group in the history of music, you're in luck. Although Pink Floyd is now officially broken up many years ago as a band and more after the sad death of keyboardist Rick Wright it vanished all hope however remote a meeting "all for the money" that both are hot now most controversial leader Roger Waters back together a dream band to play to complete the legendary double album The Wall , a rock opera that removed the musical basics back in 1979.

Some believe that this is just a minor revival, but those we were lucky enough to revive the no less mythical The Dark Side Of The Moon also by Roger Waters and his band in 2007, we can ensure that if you're a fan of Pink Floyd or just a lover of good music is not going to let indifferent. I lived through the April 21, 2007 at the Palau Sant Jordi was simply unforgettable, and it was almost like seeing live the legendary Pink Floyd with Roger Waters at the front and with a backing band really impressive.

But we will not only revive a mythical themes musically amazing, but the scenery is not going to be left behind. For this occasion a part of a surround sound brutal as we live in 2007 (I can vouch that it was the best sound I've ever heard in a concert), will be built in real time on stage and a wall 73 meters wide by 10 high as it did in the mythical 1980 and 1981 tour. But not only relive mythic themes of The Wall as Mother , In The Flesh? , Another Brick In The Wall , Hey You, Comfortably Numb or Run Like Hell among others, but also probably almost 3 hour live show that will review other issues legendary Pink Floyd and some brief foray into solo pieces by Roger Waters.

But what is really going to importantly, the appointment will be in March 2011, the March 25 at the Palacio de los Deportes de Madrid and March 29 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona . Apuntároslo in your diaries, ticket sales will start on Monday June 21 from 10:00 am through Servicaixa . Prices are still a mystery, but honestly to revive such a wonder the price is less, if you like the music of course!

But if you still have doubts, stay with this interpretation of Numb Confortably on tour 2007:

Chronicle Of Lesbian Love concert with ONCA in the Auditori de Sant Cugat 21/05/2010

Date: Friday, May 21, 2010. Place: Auditori de Sant Cugat (Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona). Attendance: 800 people (sold-out). Admission: 19 euros.

recently said Santi Balmes (the lead singer of Love Of Lesbian) who were afraid of repeating on stage and become bored of doing the same thing, and hence was born the experiment that took shape in the Auditori Sant Cugat , playing his songs to the accompaniment of the ONCA (Clàssica d'Andorra National Orchestra) and give a focus different. This is nothing new to pop and rock bands play their songs with classical orchestras, but it is something interesting and surprising, although more than one also sees it as a delusion of grandeur, and not blame him. Personally I think it all was the party that closed a cycle ending with Love Of Lesbian having completed an excellent stage as a group with 3 discs in Castilian and have been fully consolidated.

The overall result was correct, almost excellent in some songs but the thing other weakens a bit, but after all understandable. Love Of Lesbian started cold and hesitant, the initial severity (Santi Balmes soon begin to rave) and the breathtaking scenery they narrowed, looking to play at half speed for fear (mutual by both parties) to eat the solemn sound of the ONCA. The public also does not help much starting to clap before they completed the items, eating some instrumental sections by the ONCA, although it is safe to say that attendance at the end of the concert was quite restrained.

closed With a setlist beforehand and it was already printed in the official program that was given to come in, looked like it would be all very graph and there is no room for surprises, but luckily it did not. The evening began with an emotional calm down and A day in the park that missed precious levels it reached at the Palau de la Música , to encourage a letter to all your disasters that did give the size and improved with orchestra, snow Fire (without orchestra) sounded too restrained by what is the song and the always beautiful Sunday Astromancer also lacked a point of emotion that itself was presumably to the accompaniment of the orchestra, in part by some rather questionable violin arrangements. But since then it seems that everything started to take off with the fantastic Where we used to shout (also not accompanied by the orchestra) in which public and went fully into the concert accompanied with clapping and coreándola.

Then began the largest portion of the concert with Clown Houston, we have a poem , which also lacked pace and something else (because they see them touching with their space suits and pretty cool thing), but The children of tomorrow rave thing and completely with Santi Balmes conducting the orchestra with a light sword " Jedai " in the funniest moment of the night to complement the already funny and politically incorrect lyrics of the song. The cabaret neighboring Arctic Marlene was fun but unfortunately also fell in half measures.

To finish the concert before the encore the stretch most emotional, most beautiful and best played at night. Second assault (without accompanying ONCA) was wonderful and proved to be a great song if it had been composed by any group to say that Anglo would have impact. The grand prize of the night was hearing the parable of the foolish finally live in perfect backdrop for his epic final with violins ONCA was perfect in justice to another great song amazing. Without lowering the piston also the beautiful ' 1999 ' improved with accompaniment of the orchestra as the great 2009, I will break the windows to your beautiful melody magnified the contribution of ONCA. Without doubt the best concert.

When it seemed that the penalty would be short encores and the 2 tracks announced at the program, scored a first round of encore with 3 tracks that were not provided and without the participation of ONCA. The big surprise was a beautiful version of the mostly unpublished Limousines only the piano and Daniel Ferrer choirs Julian Saldarriaga, frankly fantastic and very emotional. The beautiful family issues and to close followed Elevator Music made the entire audience loses respect for the breathtaking scenery and put on foot to dance and chant.

And by the end and there was no one to sit down. The last batch of encores could not start another song that was not the hymn Fan Club John Boy an absolute feast that even most of the audience left their seats for standing in front of the stage like a concert they were normal. By popular demand they had to interpret the iron you much fun (Story of a pea lover) , but which was also without its usual guise lost some of its grace. To end God for God is four continued and finished with a public holiday too crazy.

After a lengthy ovation and lots of family children of the band on stage, the happy faces were evident, but all with an aftertaste to cycle, after this summer we will complete all its scheduled performances go where shots, the feeling that things will pull the other way are apparent ... per eye as the saying goes, appearances can be deceiving. We'll see.
